Frontier Airlines launching a Pilot Program for new generation pilots
Frontier Airlines is launching a pilot training program in partnership with ATP flight school to help develop the next generation of pilots.
The program is designed to recruit young pilots who are interested in pursuing a career as commercial airline pilots but may not have experience flying jets or large regional jets. The goal is to expand Frontier’s pilot pool each year.
Cadets, who must be at least 19 years or older and hold an associate degree or higher preferred but not required, can participate in the program by receiving financial aid assistance that will help offset training and living expenses that would last for 24 months.
To enter the program, cadets must be monitored throughout their progress during the program and must pass all required tests that are necessary to become a Frontier pilot. Frontier will also partner with other aviation university programs to create a complete academic training experience.
According to Brad Lambert, Vice President of Flight Operations. “This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has ever dreamed of becoming a commercial airline pilot, we are putting this program in place to not only train future pilots but to help them overcome the barriers to entry people may encounter when trying to pursue an aviation career. We are thrilled to embark on this journey that will lead us to a new generation of Frontier Airlines pilots.
